Education & Training: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University, 1979. Bachelor of Arts in Music from Seattle Pacific University, 1979. Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University, 2006.
Background and Experience: Mary Beth worked for three years as the Director of the Lynnwood and Everett Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Following that, she worked for New Hope Child and Family Agency, facilitating adoptions by working with birth parents before, during, and after the adoption placement. After taking special training in the area of Inner Healing, she worked with Rita Bennett as coordinator of her Emotionally Free Seminars. Mary Beth helped introduce the Teen Aid (Abstinence Until Marriage) curriculum into her local public school system, taught Teen Aid at the middle and high school levels, and coordinated the district-wide Teen Aid program, including recruiting and training pastors and youth pastors, along with other speakers, to teach Teen Aid in the public schools. Currently, she is working with a local church by providing support to the leaders of a Celebrate Recovery ministry, a Christian-based 12-step recovery program.
Special Interests & Services: Mary Beth works with adults on a wide range of issues in addition to those listed above. She describes her therapy style as Object Relations while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral and Inner Healing. She offers reduced fees to clients who meet the financial guidelines.
