Education & Training: M.A. from Northwest University’s LEAP (now CAPS) program. She is licensed as a master’s level clinician and has completed her academic classes for her doctorate which is currently on hold.
Background and Experience: Lilla has been leading groups for over 20 years. She has worked in both big business and small non-profits. Lilla is a student of cultures, having been raised overseas in over 30 countries, and integrates her knowledge of cross-cultural issues into her therapy.
Special Interests & Services: Lilla describes her style as developmental, using cognitive/behavioral, gestalt, and various other techniques. She likes to evaluate learning styles and tailor the therapeutic process to each individual. Because Lilla believes that culture impacts every aspect of how we view the world, as well as how we function in relationships, she pays special attention to the cultural values in family-of-origin stories. Lilla has a unique take on homeschooling which allows her to bring fresh insight to families who are transitioning into the public school system. She offers reduced fees to those who meet the financial guidelines.
Additional Info: Lilla has traveled around the world several times, speaking and serving in a variety of functions. She has lived for long periods in Liberia, WA; Argentina, SA; Papua New Guinea; and Hong Kong, and has lived short-term in Israel, Australia, Korea, Nepal, Switzerland, and England. She has also lived in multiple locations across the United States. Lilla speaks Spanish, although she admits her accent is a jumble of Argentine, American, African and Mexican.
