Education & Training: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Washington University, 2001; Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from Northwest University, 2011. ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider, 2022.
Background and Experience: Kelly worked at her local church as a lay counselor as she was earning her degree. Then Kelly started an externship at Meier Clinics in 2011, working in the intensive Catalyst Day Program. Kelly loved her work at Meier Clinics and has continued working there, as Day Program support, lead intake specialist and as an outpatient therapist. She has developed a special interest in helping individuals work through their challenges with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Kelly also enjoys working with clients struggling with anxiety and/or mood disorders, such as bipolar. Drawing from a solution- focused perspective, Kelly seeks to help clients find and use their God-given strengths. Pointing them towards new coping techniques, as well as resources to achieve their goals for growth and development.
Special Interests & Services: Kelly is interested in helping adults with ADHD in individual therapy, as well as leads a weekly ADHD group therapy to learn, grow, and support each other in their journey with ADHD. This group focuses on practical strategies and skills such as: time management, motivation, organization, tips for emotional control and other executive functioning skills. There are 10 sessions that can be taken in any order.
