Background and Experience: Dr. Chen worked as a family counselor in a Christian homeless shelter in Kansas City. She also provided pastoral counseling services for laypersons, seminary students, and staff for 15 years.
Special Interests & Services: Dr. Chen can work with people in various stages of life: teenagers, adults, and seniors. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and eclectic therapy.
Additional Info: Having an Asian heritage has helped her to be inherently culturally sensitive. Dr. Chen is also multilingual, fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.
