Education & Training: Dr. Adams received a doctorate in clinical psychology from California Southern University. He received a Masters in Divinity from Golden Gate Theological Seminary. In addition, Dr. Adams completed a post-graduate certificate in behavior analysis through the University of North Texas and another post-graduate certificate in Behavioral Intervention of Autism through the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Dr. Adams is a licensed Psychologist (#28442), a licensed clinical counselor (LPC #312) and a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA-D 1-04-1841).
Background and Experience: Dr. Adams has been in practice since 2001. He has served in various roles including a child and family therapist, a behavior analyst in a school, and a clinical director for a few agencies that specialize in autism treatment. In addition, Dr. Adams is a former pastor.
Special Interests & Services: Dr. Adams enjoys working with a variety of clients. He is passionate about helping children who are victims of trauma, abuse and depression. Dr. Adams also has a special heart for adults with issues of depression and anxiety. In working with the adult population, he uses a cognitive-behavioral framework. Dr. Adams is a life coach who strives to help others achieve their goals.
Additional Info: In his personal time, Dr. Adams volunteers in orphanages in Mexico and Vietnam by providing training and interacting with the orphans. He is actively involved in his church and enjoys flying small planes as a pilot.
