Education & Training: He received his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University in 1996 and became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois in 2006. Curt was certified as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals in 2008. Curt has received specialized level 2 training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2009 for the treatment of trauma and stress. He completed The Crucible Project Two-Year Transformational Program in 2008. Curt is also a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist and a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for Engaged or Married Couples.
Background and Experience: Curt joined Meier Clinics in 2009 and has provided counseling to clients since 1996. He meets with adult clients on an individual basis for a variety of concerns including anger, prodependency/codependency, men’s issues, self-esteem, and sexual addiction.
Special Interests & Services: Curt integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and interpersonal approaches into therapy to meet the needs of each client. He has extensive experience working in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, working with individuals, and facilitating groups.
