Young Choi


Young works with a variety of treatment issues including but not limited to: Addiction, Anger management, Anxiety, Borderline Personality, Codependency, Depression, Family conflict, Grief, Infidelity, Life Coaching, Relationship Issues, Sexual Addiction, Stress, Trauma and PTSD

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, 1986.  Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University, 2017.  Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California in 2019.

He is a marriage and family therapist with extensive experience in life with different careers before becoming a therapist. He has 13 years of working for an international corporation and 10 years of serving as an overseas missionary. He specializes in couple/marriage counseling as well as individual therapy with relational, depression and anxiety issues and family counseling.

He provides counseling that is integrated with Christian faith to individuals, couples, and families. He also provides life coaching. He uses the attachment-based approach as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy. Having lived overseas as a missionary, He has 10+ years of experience as a pastoral counselor and enjoys incorporating prayer into the therapy session.

He speaks fluent Korean, Conversational Spanish, and basic Mandarin
