Education and Training: Rod has a BA in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University (1998) and a Masters in Counseling from Western Seminary (2001).

Background and Experiences: Rod has worked in several mental health environments including working with Teenagers in a Group Home at the Virginia Miller House in Seattle, WA. There he provided In-Home family Therapy at Service Alternatives, worked with mentally ill adults as a Case Manager/Therapist at Community Psychiatric Clinic, and worked on the crisis team at Compass Health.

Special Interests and Services: Rod enjoys working with adults 18 and over.  He prefers working from an existential perspective to emphasize client strengths.  He provides a safe environment for you to express your concerns and tell your story.

Additional Information: Rod enjoys reading books and watching movies. His list of book and movie recommendations include: The Shawshank Redemption, Les MiserablesThe Greatest Showman, Loves Executioner by Irving Yalom, and Heaven by Randy Alcorn.
