Phil’s approach to counseling and soul care is shaped from years of pastoral experience in both the local church and parachurch ministry, having worked extensively with at-risk youth, the homeless community, and those struggling under the weight of addictions. His overall approach is Brief, Solution-Focused Therapy rooted in the biblical aspects of CBT.

Practicing out of the Chicago offices in telehealth and in-person formats, Phil provides individual, family, and marital counseling for adults facing the stress of life adjustments. Areas of practice include suicidal ideation as a complication of depression, anxiety, and trauma; Co-dependency, healthy boundaries, and family responses to addictive behaviors and personalities; Anger, conflict management, mood disorders and personality disorders; and matters related to faith, spiritual formation, and spiritual restoration. Services are available for children (7+) and adolescents on a limited basis in tandem with family therapy.
