Education and Training:  Master of Arts in Counseling from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.  Post-master’s work at Waynesburg College’s Graduate and Professional Studies Program in Counseling Psychology.

Background and Experience: While putting her career aspirations on hold until her children were older, JoAnne taught at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, served as coordinator and chair of numerous service organizations including a refugee resettlement project through her local church, and was a volunteer crisis pregnancy counselor. All of these experiences contribute to her effectiveness as a counselor as she is quite in tune with (and probably currently experiencing!) the very real stressors of life in this world.

Additional Information:  JoAnne has been happily married since 1984 and a mother since 1985. During the years that she was not formally practicing counseling, she was engaged in the daily duties of raising a family of three children.  JoAnne speaks Italian and Spanish in addition to English.
