Background and Experience: Dr. Jacob has worked in multiple settings in the past which includes outpatient and inpatient levels of care. She has worked in adult and child/adolescent settings as well as consulted for multiple senior care homes in the Chicago suburbs. She worked at the outpatient counseling center for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for two years and has been in private practice for the past six years.
Special Interests and Services: Dr. Jacob is an active, solution-focused and holistic practitioner. She values the connection of the mind, body and spirit, and believes that imbalance presents itself in any of these realms and sometimes multiple realms. Being a holistic practitioner, Dr. Jacob believes in incorporating techniques that train the body as well as the mind. Her goal is to enable each client to move toward their self-defined goals and achieve a more functional and well-balanced life. Additionally, her background in Clinical Psychology allows her to treat the high functioning client with a phase of life or adjustment disorder, as well as the chronically mentally ill client who needs long term care.
Additional Information: Dr. Jacob is actively involved with her church and a dedicated chorister. She also volunteers for Parivar International, a Christian organization in the Chicago land area that works to preserve the family unit. She likes to read, sing, listen to music, watch movies and travel. She is fluent in Malayalam and Hindi, and she is also conversational in Tamil.
