Christian Counselor Richardson Janine Holloway

Available for Telemedicine Only

A professional counselor since 2002, Janine joined Meier Clinics in 2016.  She works with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of issues.  Her counseling principles, techniques, and interventions are evaluated in light of a biblical perspective on human nature, God, and our desperate need to be in a loving relationship with our savior, Jesus Christ. Whether you are very religious or have no formal faith, she can help guide you through a difficult time.  Using cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic techniques, Janine has made it her life’s goal to help individuals, couples, and families have more joy-filled relationships with themselves and with those they love.

Janine has experience working with the following treatment areas:

Abortion (and unplanned pregnancy), Abuse, Anger, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Blended Families, Problematic Boundaries, Burnout, Chronic Illness, Codependency, Divorce and Separation, Grief, Guilt, Hospice (and end of life issues), Loneliness, Marital and Family Issues, Military Family Issues, OCD, Panic Disorder, PTSD, Relationship Difficulties, Spiritual Concerns, and Stress

“Each of us sees life through a certain set of lenses.  I am especially curious about how my clients view themselves and those they love.  I help clients discover how their earliest relationships may be influencing their relationships today.  In addition I support clients working through any grief they are experiencing from relationship losses due to physical death, divorce, or addiction.  These kinds of discoveries create options, and more flexibility in how people respond emotionally and behaviorally today.  Adults who find my approach most beneficial are those who are introspective, emotionally sensitive, and want to learn how to view life differently.

I am especially trained in working with youth as young as five years old through adolescents.  Each session is focused on the issue that needs attention, utilizing age-appropriate activities such as play therapy, sand tray, games, role-play, and books.  Parents are often encouraged to participate in the counseling experience along with their children.”
