James Gray

LMFT, LPC, CSAT

James has a passion for working with people, especially men, struggling with compulsive sexual behavior. He has received specialized training in treating sexual addiction and is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate. Sexual addiction can create a stranglehold in your life, in your marriage, or any aspect of your life. You deserve the best treatment to be free from it.

James also holds a Marriage and Family Therapist license in Texas. He knows relationships are hard, but they are worth fighting for. He believes we are created for connection through intimacy, and relationships can be beautiful. And when you have two people with different values from different families with different histories and experiences, it’s a setup for conflict and tough times. Yet there is hope. With time and hard work, you can overcome these differences and difficulties in your marriage. James can help you make your relationship the best it can be.

He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in various settings providing a high level of care with individuals dealing with a wide variety of issues—major depression, severe anxiety, PTSD, psychosis, panic attacks, anger, burnout, suicidality, low self-worth, shame, grief, and boundary issues. He earned his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in 2013.

James has been married to his wife since 1995, and they have adopted two children from foster care. He enjoys reading, traveling, watching movies, playing games (video, board and cards) and playing with his dog. James spent the first 20+ years of his adult life as a software engineer, and his own journey of healing and transformation led him to become a therapist. He enjoys guiding others on their own journey and would love to walk with you on yours.
