Dona Nguyen


Dona is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing counseling with a Christian foundation for couples, families, and individuals, utilizing a blend of Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems Therapy.

Dona received her Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in 2009 and completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Dallas Baptist University in 2017. Her post-graduate training was completed in the Meier Clinics Catalyst PHP/IOP program, working full time for over two years with the medical staff and counseling patients with a range of diagnoses and comorbid conditions.

In the Catalyst program, Dona has worked with OCD, anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, psychosis, adjustment disorders, panic disorder, social anxiety, anger issues, trauma recovery, boundaries, codependency, self-worth, shame, loss, grief, and other issues on the mental health spectrum.

Dona also has a special focus on working with pregnant and post-partum women. She believes that this is a special time where the mom-to-be and new mom need extra encouragement and support.

Prior to working at Meier Clinics, Dona worked as a Speech Therapist and as an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist with children with special needs.

Dona believes that faith plays an essential role in healing. She does not seek to impose beliefs upon others but does recognize that her beliefs impact and shape her work with her clients.

In her spare time, Dona enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and doodle.
