Curt joined Meier Clinics in 2009 and has provided counseling to clients since 1996. He meets with adult clients on an individual basis for a variety of concerns including anger, prodependency/codependency, men’s issues, self-esteem, and sexual addiction.

Additional concerns that Curt frequently works with include:

Anxiety, Boundaries, Communication Issues, Conflict-Resolution, Depression, Family-of-Origin Issues, Grief & Loss, Life-Transitions, Premarital Counseling, Spirituality, and Trauma

Curt integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and interpersonal approaches into therapy to meet the needs of each client. He has extensive experience working in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, working with individuals,  and facilitating groups.

He received his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University in 1996 and became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois in 2006.  Curt was certified as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals in 2008.  Curt has received specialized level 2 training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2009 for the treatment of trauma and stress. He completed The Crucible Project Two-Year Transformational Program in 2008. Curt is also a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist and a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for Engaged or Married Couples.

Curt feels blessed to be a family man. He has been married since 1996 and has two children. Hobbies: Guitar, Hiking, Exploring Nature, Backyard Birdfeeding, Landscaping, Reading, Films, Snow Skiing.
