Treatment Issues: Relationship issues, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment disorder, Marital & Pre-Marital, Mid-Life Issues, Parenting, Divorce, Step-families, Addiction & Recovery, Family of Origin issues, Career Transitions.
Education and Training: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Middlebury College, 1998. A third-year student in the Master of Science in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling program at Walden University (anticipated graduation November 2019).
Background and Experience: I have experience working with military service members and their significant others as well as 12-step recovery programs.
Special Interests and Services: My practice is based on cognitive-behavioral therapy and incorporates family systems theory, solution-focused therapy, developmental theory, Gottman Couple’s Therapy, and mindfulness techniques according to the client’s needs. I enjoy working with clients on healthy boundary development.
Additional Information: Alyson accepts self-pay clients and offers a sliding scale to clients who meet financial criteria.
