Anna Miller, LPC
Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Ouachita Baptist University and has her Master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Her counseling style is cognitive behavioral therapy with an existential therapy perspective, focusing on the meaning we draw from life experiences and finding healing through understanding our purpose.
Anna is experienced in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care for adults and adolescents. She has led presentations on addressing sexual assault within the church body and how to create a safe environment for children to speak out about their experiences. For her post-graduate work, Anna was a counselor for women and children in domestic violence relationships. For the past few years, she has worked with children and adults in the Dallas area providing crisis intervention and treatment planning through a local crisis line and mobile crisis outreach team. Anna has also spent over a year doing mental health assessments in the Dallas County Jail, linking individuals to needed treatment in order to reduce recidivism and improve quality of life.
Anna works with individuals, couples, and groups, on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, boundaries, grief, shame, and marital/pre-marital counseling. Anna has a passion for promoting healthy, happy marriages and is a firm believer in God’s ability to heal even the most broken of relationships. She also feels strongly about finding meaning and purpose in life, which starts with knowing yourself and identifying your values.
