Katie Hickok, LCSW
Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has experience working with a diverse population of individuals and families from many different backgrounds. She has spent most of her career working with young people and their families involved in the foster care system as well as with adoptive families. She has also worked with individuals, traditional families and adolescents in a community setting. Katie has worked in residential settings, homes, churches and community organizations.
Katie is passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She works from a person-centered model and goals. She is dedicated to understanding people and working with them on their path to health. Common treatment issues Katie works with include: Abuse, Anxiety, Boundaries, Codependency, Conduct Disorders, Depression, Failure to Launch, Grief/Loss, Mood Disorders, OCD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, PTSD, Self-Injury, Spiritual Issues, and Stress Management.

Katie utilizes a number of different therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of individual clients. She believes that each individual has their own unique strengths and areas of growth so different clients need different tools to assist them. She incorporates Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relationship and interpersonal therapy, Solutions Focused therapy and has a lot of experience in interweaving Trauma-informed practice throughout all models.
Katie grew up in Michigan and received her Bachelors from Calvin College and her MSW from Grand Valley State University. She comes from a large family of brothers and volunteers with teenagers at her church.
